Historically Contributing
 
     This property was owned by Chicago's First Mayor William B. Ogden and estate through 1880
      after Ogden Grove at Rush and Ontario was destroyed in the Chicago Fire of 1871. It was classified
      "historically contributing " by the Chicago Landmarks Commission Survey in 2005.

      Ogden House is located in the Sheffield Historic District #76000704 listed in the National
      Register of Historic Places on January 11, 1976.   It is located one block south of the Armitage-
      Halsted Historic District created on February 5, 2003.  

      The historic distinctions of the property leave the title unrestricted and provide significant owner tax benefits

      The circa 1876 structure has been custom rehabbed to perfection and appraised in the
